We are all going through a stressful, unusual and frightening time and in order to keep us safe and healthy, many restrictions have been put on our freedoms. We are confined to our homes, we are not allowed to go to work (unless our work is deemed essential), our kids aren’t allowed to go to school, we can’t enjoy many of the activitites that we find fulfilling, and we can’t be in close contact with really anyone aside from the people who live with us.
So are we still free? What are the freedoms we still have in the face of these restrictions? What does it mean to have freedom when so many freedoms are taken away?
