Stacy Ratner
Stacy Ratner is the founder and Executive Director of Open Books, a social venture that operates an extraordinary bookstore, provides community programs, and mobilizes passionate volunteers to promote literacy in Chicago and beyond. Her past history includes founding roles at 5 other startups, including ventures in Internet access and used cars, but she is delighted to be surrounded by great books, food, and conversation instead.

Joan Bradbury
Joan Bradbury is a retired elementary school teacher committed to inter-disciplinary education growing from children's engagement with the world. She continues to be actively engaged with teachers, helping in a process of reflecting on aspects of teaching practice, while exploring new passions and learning such as making pottery in a community art center

Scott Kagawa
Scott has been a resident of the North side of Chicago for almost 9 years now. Hailing from the great state of California, Scott has made Chicago his new home. Working in the Office of Senator Roland Burris has allowed Scott to give back to Illinois by helping its constituents navigate the sometimes daunting Federal bureaucracy. Before working for the Senator, Scott was a public school music teacher. He currently plays around the Chicago area in the Prohibition Orchestra of Chicago. Type that into youtube and listen!.
Andre Petty
André Petty is a long-time Chicago resident and a Conventual Franciscan friar. Brother André is the Executive Director of Caring Connections for Seniors, an organization dedicated to serving the elderly in Chicago's Rogers Park neighborhood. Before entering religious life, André practiced corporate tax law at several law firms in Chicago and also taught seventh grade in the Chicago Public Schools.

Megan O'Keefe
Megan is a Chicago-area native who grew up in Homewood and, after spending time in both St. Louis and New York for school, eventually settled down back in Chicago where the rest of her family still resides. Megan currently works as an associate at the law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP focusing on commercial finance transactions. When she is not working, Megan loves running (she has completed five marathons and counting), trying new restaurants (which ultimately inspires a lot of her running), reading and spending time with friends and family.

Jeanne Kim
Instructional Designer, DePaul University Jeanne Kim is an instructional designer at DePaul University and a former K-8 teacher/technology integration specialist. She is excited about Across the Table dinners because she feels that the meals integrate some of her favorite things: friends new and old, dessert, good coffee, laughter, culture, family-style meals, and hope.
